Chief Rosales Admin Pic Website Photo.jpgPrior to serving with San Pablo she has served over twenty-seven years with the Pasadena Police Department, most recently working as a Commander. During her tenure as a Commander she led Traffic, Event Planning, Air Operations, Community Services, Communications, Records, Technical Services, Jail, Facilities and Fleet, and the Property and Evidence room.

Chief Rosales attended the University of San Diego earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and held a teaching credential for the State of California. She earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne. In 2007, she graduated POST Command College and was the recipient of the prestigious Hank E. Koehn peer nominated leadership award. She is the 4th great-grandchild of Gregorio Esparza, Alamo Hero. The Esparza family was the largest family to survive the Alamo and Santa Ana. Chief Rosales was the recipient of the Pasadena Police Department’s Chief’s Special Award for Excellence in 2001 for her management of the Youth Services unit and development of the Youth Accountability Board. In 2003, she received the Pasadena-Foothill Valley YWCA’s Women of Excellence Award for her work with youth and domestic violence victims. In 2009, she again received the Chief’s Special Award for her leadership and professionalism in the management of the California Police Chief’s conference.
Chief Rosales is passionate about her commitment to the San Pablo police department and community. She is looking forward to becoming more involved and understanding what is important to the City of San Pablo and its community.

Chief Rosales is equally passionate about building strong regional and professional partnerships. She has served as the Chair for the California Peace Officers Association Region Ten. She has served as the event manager for California’s Women Leaders in Law Enforcement annual training symposium. From May 2012-June 2013, she served as the Governance Board Chair for the Interagency Communications Interoperability System, a Joint Powers Authority. ICIS is a seven-city agency including Beverly Hills, Burbank, Culver City, Glendale, Montebello, Pasadena and Pomona.
